This hands-on Home Economics class is designed to equip students with essential life skills through fun, creative, and practical projects. Blending traditional homemaking arts with modern tools and techniques, students will gain confidence in managing a home and creating a warm, functional living space.

Throughout the course, students will learn:

  • Cooking & Baking – Prepare simple, healthy meals and baked goods from scratch
  • Sewing & Quilting – Learn hand and machine sewing basics, and complete small quilting projects
  • Budgeting & Money Management – Understand how to plan a basic budget, save money, and shop wisely
  • Gardening – Explore how to grow and care for herbs, vegetables, and indoor plants
  • Crochet – Practice basic stitches and create simple crochet items
  • Cricut Crafts – Use a Cricut machine to make personalized home décor and seasonal crafts
  • Cleaning & Organization – Learn age-appropriate cleaning routines and clever organization tips and tricks

Each class will be interactive, project-based, and designed to build real-world confidence. Whether it's decorating a space with homemade art, creating a handmade gift, or planning a weekly meal budget, students will take pride in their new skills and accomplishments.
